We are situated in the heart of the lancashire countryside and for the past 7 years have taken the Sirloin Inn to award winning levels. We are dedicated to serving the best in local produce and presenting it with a modern fresh approach. Sit and relax with an aperitif in our stylish bar whilst choosing from our extensive menu, eat in our modern and contemporary dining room, then relax after with a digestive or sample our historical coaching inn where you are able to taste a selection of real ales from arround the county together with wines continental beers and spirits, and most of all a warm "real fire" welcome!!
Our team are full of passion, flare and personality, and have the ability and atitude to enhance your dining experience with their approach to service. Here at thyme we truly believe that our customers are the reason for our existance and come first in every way.

We have been in every good pub and beer guide since we opened and have been awarded pub of the season twice.
We have acheived a number of different local taste and food awards, these include local cheeses, free range eggs, and local beef suppliers. these go together with being one of the counties main supporters of local Lancashire food and drink.

After many many years of entertaining at home and watching endless hours of cookery programs on T.V. I decided to take things to the next level.
I enroled at Accrington catering college and went on to achieve grades 1,2,3, N.V.Q. in cookery, part of this was whilst working as a comme cheff at the Foxfeilds country hotel and restaurant at Billington. "The rest as they say is history", after the design and build on the first venture in longridge, we went on to expand the operation to the historic Sirloin inn at hoghton.
This was a far bigger and more difficult task as we had to learn about the bar side of things as well! Following two to three months of planning and detailed design, work started and within 6 weeks the restuarant was completed and we opened for buisness on the 26th April 2003.
